Micah Parsons puts finishing touches on dominant Dallas Cowboys win over Detroit

The biggest storyline for the Dallas Cowboys going into Sunday’s contest against the Detroit Lions was

the return of quarterback Dak Prescott from a hand injury. But it was the defense that shined brightest in a 24-6 win for “America’s Team.”

And when that unit shines, Harrisburg native and former Penn State star Micah Parsons is a safe bet to have shined as well.

The 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year did, wrapping the game up in the fourth quarter

with a strip-sack of Detroit quarterback Jared Goff to give the Cowboys the ball back to kneel the rest of the clock out.

Parsons also had an impressive hustle play, where he chased down Lions tight end Brock Wright

Parsons followed the game up after with a simple message, tweeting “Can’t teach effort or passion !! 1-0″

He also took visitors before the game, chatting with a Make-A-Wish patient on the sideline.

The biggest storyline for the Dallas Cowboys going into Sunday’s contest against the Detroit Lions was

They’ll return to action next Sunday, when they host Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m.

He finished the game overall with five tackles and the strip sack, and now has seven sacks on the season.
